“Impact of green buildings on occupant’s wellbeing” Research Report by IGBC


Wellbeing and Green Buildings of India

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) is glad to announce that we recently executed a research project titled, “Impact of green buildings on occupant’s wellbeing” in India . The project has been awarded to IGBC by WGBC as a part of the Better Places for People Campaign.

The objective of the study was to understand the perceptions of people living and working in green buildings and use this information to strengthen the case for health, comfort, hygiene and wellbeing in green buildings in India.

The final project report, captured the experiences of green building occupants of 25 buildings certified under various IGBC green building rating systems from 7 major cities in India.

The report has covered various building typologies such as offices, institutions, factories, malls etc. This report was part of World GBC’s initiative on Better Places for People. Executive Summary – Impact of Green Buildings on Occupants Wellbeing
