As the global scaffolding market is predicted to grow at 5.14% till 2023, UAE is set to host Region’s first-ever dedicated trade show on formwork, scaffolding and powered access – INTERSCAFF ARABIA 2020.

In the past two decades,GCC has seen phenomenal growth in the construction sector. Some of the most ambitious and complex construction projects in the world took shape in the GCC and this trend is expected to continue.

A research by B2B platform for the construction industry, Protenders, published in April 2019. Stated that the total value of UAE construction sector is US$ 1.01 trillion, of which 42 per cent of projects worth US$ 420.1 billion are in various stages of construction. Further, projects worth US$ 80.8 billion are in the planning phase, US$ 152.7 billion worth of projects are in the design phase. And US$ 72.6 billion worth are at the tendering stage.

According to Protenders, of the total development (US$ 238.3 billion), urban buildings constitute 57 percent, followed by oil and gas projects at 24 percent (US$ 100.5 billion) and infrastructure accounts for 19 percent (US$ 81.3 billion).

The continuous momentum in construction has opened up vast opportunities for formwork and scaffolding suppliers. The uninterrupted vigour witnessed in the scaffolding and formwork market in GCC is expected to continue for some more time with fast-track construction projects.

It is also estimated that the scaffolding market in the Middle East offers enormous growth potential in the wake of Expo 2020

That can be done by innovating our services and products and providing a sophisticated solution of a calibre that is different from what others offer. We have noticed that more companies have realised the capabilities and advantages of using aluminium alloys in formwork systems.”

To elaborate further, he stated, The Future Scaffolding and Aluminium Industries LLC was part of the Al Qusais residential development, in which 35 residential buildings project was awarded to them. They also were part of the B+G+2P+21 type commercial/residential development project Barsha Height. The company has launched the ‘quick slab’ system and ‘quick wall’ system in the recent past.
