As a team of Architecture Council of WICCI, with National President Architect Sabeena Khanna (Founder & Design Principal, Studio KIA), together we aim to bring about fundamental changes with meaningful interventions. Our mission is to encourage and empower women in the field of architecture.
We invite fellow women architects to be part of this journey and take up lead roles.
WICCI – ARCHITECTURE COUNCIL
WOMEN’S INDIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (WICCI) is a premier National Business Chamber for Women in India envisioning grassroots & global impact for Women Entrepreneurs, Businesswomen and Professionals from all walks of life.
INTRODUCTION
Supported by the massive global networks of ALL Ladies League (ALL) and Women Economic Forum (WEF) with 200,000 women and supporters globally, including 50,000 in India – WICCI aims to bring about fundamental changes with regards to governmental policies, laws and incentives to robustly encourage and empower women in business, industry and commerce across all sectors and fields.
WICCI and its manifold Councils at International, National, Regional, State, Sectoral and City levels, representing a wide variety of Sectors, suggest from time to time concrete steps and recommendations to relevant government authorities and also partner with institutions to implement innovative strategies toward mitigating our many challenges, facilitating our ease of doing business, and empowering women’s businesses to thrive.
THE TEAM
WICCI has a massive outlay of 7000 honorary office bearers across India and Internationally as Presidents, Vice Presidents and Council Members to energize the work of the Councils. Each office bearer thus represents the cause of thousands of women across 130 councils in a cross-section of sectors. Each Council is formed upon the appointment of a President to that Council along with a Vice President. Minimum 20 nominated Council Members in addition,to collectively develop attention and action areas.

FOR THE TENURE STARTING NOW TO END OF 2021, WE ARE LOOKING TO BUILD
National council – 20 council members
Regional Council – (in all the 4 regions Western, Southern, Eastern & Northern India – to coordinate with State councils /Sectors in respective regions)
State/UT Council – (pan-India) these will be Coordinating councils to further coordinate State Sector Presidents in different sectors as well as City councils.
City councils – in the various cities across all States/UTs of India
