Prime Minister to interact with Smart City officials

Bhubaneshwar Municipal Corporation Mayor Anant Narayan Jena,BSCL CEO R Vineel Krishna and BMC commissioner Krishan Kumar will interact with Prime Minister Mr Narender Modi , on Saturday,via video conferencing .The interaction is part of the celebration of first anniversary of the launch of Smart City Mission by the Centre. Pune, which won a second position in the smart city list released by the urban development ministry, will host the celebration.Bhubaneswar had topped among the smart cities the Centre accorded to 20 cities in the first phase in January.

Bhubaneswar development Authority (BDA) has planned to float the app, called ‘Bhubaneswar One’ (App) that will enable citizens to know everything about the city , will have information on locations of the hotels, health care centres and government offices besides data on the status of various online services provided to the citizens. The App is being developed jointly by the BDA and National Informatics Centre Services Inc (Nicsi), a central government-owned department.

In AWE had held a Workshop in Bhubaneshwar on SMART CITIES SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION that was attended both by Mayor Mr. Jena and the local MLA (North) Mr Priya darshi Mishra alongwith the German Consulate General from Kolkatta Mr Iversen.

On Saturday, the two parks in Sailashree Vihar and Prashanti Vihar phase-II to be developed under the smart city mission will be inaugurated alongwith the mobile app.

The Prime Minister will also launch the projects of other Smart Cities that are ready and interact with the BOD’s of the Cities.The aim is to get brief information about the vision and implementation plans of the selected Smart Cities.
